If you follow me on Facebook, I mentioned some BIG NEWS on the horizon. Here it is, y’all:

In just a few short weeks, I’ll be a shiny new radio host with Breadbox Media, a company that offers Internet streamed radio to your devices to bring you relational, cultural, and topical Catholic talk radio. A mouthful, I know. But seriously, it’s amazing. My weekly show will air on Saturdays at 1 PM CDT and Sunday at 8 PM CDT, but if you miss it, Breadbox has you covered archiving all shows as podcasts (love!!). You can listen online on their site or download the app! The show will debut later this spring!! I’ll keep you posted.  My show is Brave by Grace with Katie Sciba – a name that’s come after some recently totally-God-given courage came my way and my eyes were opened. We’re all afraid of something.

Whether it’s stepping out of our comfort zones, letting go of insecurity, failure or success, self-comparison, self-accountability, having a deeply powerful relationship with Jesus, our personal pasts, or spiders, we’re all afraid of something. And if there’s anything that I’ve learned over the last year, it’s that Jesus does not give us a spirit of fear. He wants us to take heart. Be still and know. Come out of our cages. Be brave.

And it’s that bravery that will be at the heart of my show. I already have a fantastic lineup of guests for you and can’t wait to be inspired by these people. The guests will range from big names to the friend down the block because everyone of us has a story, a fear the Lord wants to help us overcome by his grace or maybe he already has.

So here we go! I’m jazzed (and a little terrified, so pray for me) and ready.

And check this out for a quick sum-up of Breadbox and its mission. The Lord is moving through this evangelization.

And now for the Giveaways…

1) Handmade Newborn Layette

Kathryn is a long-time reader of The Catholic Wife and a fantastic confidence booster. This girl’s support of my writing has been more encouraging than I can say, which is why I’m honored to highlight her Etsy shop, St. Clement’s Island, and darling newborn layette! Kathryn has designed a baby hat and booties especially for Catholic Wife readers with colors to go with my logo (how fun is that??), and they will be just perfect for Easter and spring! Every time I turn around, some friend far or near announces a baby on the way. With a handful due this spring, I know this would be such a sweet gift! But if a baby girl isn’t anywhere on the horizon, Kathryn has other gifts her whole selection is obviously a labor of love. Use coupon code THECATHOLICWIFE for 10% off your purchase at St. Clement’s Island + free shipping! {enter the giveaway at the bottom of the post}

2) Small Steps for Catholic Moms: Your Daily Call to Think, Pray, & Act by Danielle Bean, Elizabeth Foss, & Lisa Hendey

I finally bought this book for myself a few weeks ago. It sat in my cart online for ages and ages. There was always something more important to throw money at like groceries or bills. Ridiculous, right? But I bit the bullet because my heart is worth it and I hoped hoped hoped so much that this simple devotional would give me guidance and lead me to virtue.

It is.

You probably have the same hesitations over buying something for yourself. Or maybe you don’t – good for you!! Either way, this one’s on me. The winner of this giveaway will receive a fresh, shiny copy of Small Steps for Catholic Moms and along with it, some good Christian peace to reign in your soul. {enter the giveaway below}

Thank you all for your tremendous support over the years and please stay tuned!! I hope Brave by Grace will be a blessing for both of us and I can’t wait to get started. Please pray that I say and do what the Holy Spirit wills!
